Software & Hardware requirements
- A Pentium 4 running Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP/Vista
- 512MB or more of available RAM
- 100MB or more free disk space
- 1024 x 768 pixel minimum screen resolution
- Microsoft® Word 2000/XP/2003/2007, Microsoft® EXCEL 2000/XP/2003/2007, and Adobe® Reader® 5 [or later] are required for full reporting functionality
- [for Workgroup solutions] The size of the database is limited to 2Gb
Enterprise solution
Network requirements
- Ethernet Network
- 10MB/sec network connection
Server requirements
We support MS SQL Server version 7/2000/2005 and Oracle version 9i/10g.
- ODBC is used for both application-database and Middleware-database communication
- The physical specifications of the database server, if separate from the Middleware server, depend on the intended number of users and network speed. We recommend you refer to the supplier's documentation. Our experience to date is that the manufacturer's recommended configurations are adequate for our application
- Database installation is not supported by Methodware
- The initial database size is dependent on the size of your framework, however in general this will be <100MB
Middleware Server requirements
For a full Enterprise Wide configuration with Web User access you should contact your local Methodware consultant for a full specification to match your implementation, user numbers and distribution.
- A Pentium 4 running Microsoft® Windows® Server 2000/2003
- 1GB or more of available RAM
- Disk space requirement is minimal (<100MB), as data is stored by the Database
- Network connection (min 10MB/sec recommended)
- HTML and Mail Server, for example, Internet Information Server (IIS)
- IIS Web Server is required for Tunnelling
Power User workstation requirements
- A Pentium 4 running Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP/Vista
- 512MB or more of available RAM
- 100MB or more free disk space
- 1024 x 768 pixel minimum screen resolution
- Microsoft® Word 2000/XP/2003/2007, Microsoft® EXCEL 2000/XP/2003/2007, and Adobe® Reader® 5 [or later] are required for full reporting functionality
- Network connection (min 10MB/sec recommended)
Web User workstation requirements
- JavaTM 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition version 1.4.x, 1.5.x, 1.6x
- JavaTM 2 Runtime Environment compatible operating system. Up-to-date system requirements for this software can be found on www.java.sun.com
- A Web Browser is required for full reporting functionality
- 1024 x 768 pixel minimum screen resolution
